Steam Awards 2026 Add Two Categories as Voting Returns
Valve opens nominations for the 10th Steam Awards on November 23; voting begins December 17 alongside the Steam Winter Sale.
Valve has announced that the Steam Awards will return for 2026, marking the event's 10th edition, according to gamespark.jp. This year's edition adds two new categories to the community-voted lineup.
The first, "This Is My Job Now," is aimed at games that feel like a job to play. The second, "Hall of Fame of the Hall of Fame," lets voters choose a favorite from past Game of the Year winners. Past winners can be viewed in the Steam Awards archive.
Nominations for the Steam Awards 2026 run from November 23 to November 30 local time. Voting then opens on December 17, the same day the Steam Winter Sale begins.
Winners are expected to be announced early next year, as in previous editions.
