Takara Tomy lifts full-year operating profit forecast to 30 billion yen
The toy maker raised its forecast for the year ending March 2027, citing stronger first-half sales of Gacha, BEYBLADE X, Duel Masters and Tomica products.
Takara Tomy has raised its full-year consolidated earnings forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027, lifting its operating profit projection from 26 billion yen to 30 billion yen, according to gamebiz.jp. The company announced the revision on October 29, 2026.
The sales forecast was revised upward from 285 billion yen to 300 billion yen. Ordinary profit was also raised from 26 billion yen to 30 billion yen, and net profit from 18 billion yen to 20 billion yen.
Takara Tomy attributed the revision to stronger-than-expected first-half results, driven by sales aimed at adult buyers. In Japan, popular character goods at the Kideeland retail chain contributed, alongside the Gacha capsule toy line and the BEYBLADE X, Duel Masters and Tomica product ranges.
In Asia, sales of BEYBLADE X and Tomica expanded, including through the rollout of TOMICA BRAND STORE outlets. A customs duty refund booked in the first quarter also added to profit.
