Word-building mahjong game WORJONG launches on Steam October 30

Circle KEN's tile game uses 26 letter tiles to build four three-letter English words, and supports online matches for up to four players.

Circle KEN's mahjong-style word game WORJONG will launch on Steam on October 30, the developer announced. The game supports online matches for up to four players.

WORJONG is played with 26 alphabet tiles from A to Z, four of each, for 104 tiles in total. Players hold 11 tiles and aim for a 12-tile winning hand made of four three-letter English words.

The game also includes a single-player story mode about reclaiming a raccoon dog village from humans, with cheating abilities such as explosions and time stops.

Its scoring departs from standard mahjong: winning hands such as Tenhou are worth only one han, while there is a two-han yaku for including the creator's name KEN among the four winning words.
