Target, Best Buy Set November Dates for Zelda Switch 2 Restocks
Target sells the Zelda 40th Anniversary Switch 2 in stores on November 5 and online a day later, as Best Buy ties its restock to the Ocarina of Time launch.
Target and Best Buy have confirmed early-November restock dates for The Legend of Zelda: 40th Anniversary Edition Switch 2 console, according to gamerant.com. Target will sell its allocation in stores on November 5 and online on November 6.
Best Buy will offer its restocks at the midnight launch for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on November 5 at various retail locations. The retailer said restocks of the Zelda-themed Switch 2 Pro Controller will also be available at that midnight launch.
The console was released on October 29, 2026, decorated with the Triforce and other Zelda homages. Nintendo said the special edition arrived alongside a Switch 2 exclusive remake of Ocarina of Time, which adds updated graphics and movement, Threads of Time progress tracking and Zelda Notes compatibility.
Other retailers silent
Walmart, Amazon and the Nintendo Store have not publicly commented on when they will restock the Zelda Switch 2.
Bill van Zyll, Vice President and General Manager of Nintendo's Latin America branch, said the company underestimated how well received the Zelda Switch 2 console would be and was working on replenishing inventories of the Zelda 40th Anniversary lineup. In October 2026, after Walmart canceled several Zelda Switch 2 preorders, the retailer reportedly offered some customers a $519 digital gift card as compensation.
