Angel Studios Bans Sex, Nudity and F-Words Under New Content Policy

The Angel Promise also gives paying Angel Guild members a vote on films and TV shows, with a minimum score of 70 out of 100 required.

Angel Studios announced a new content policy called The Angel Promise, which bans on-screen sex, nudity and F-words and bars original films or series that misuse God's name, according to Variety. Jeff Harmon, the studio's co-founder and chief content officer, announced the policy in a Fox News interview on Thursday.

The policy also states that Angel will not release content with profanity in titles submitted for children 12 and under, and it expands the studio's parental controls. On-screen sex, nudity and F-words are prohibited outright.

Paying members of the Angel Guild, the studio's membership program, will be able to vote on films and TV shows. A title needs a member score of at least 70 out of 100 to be included in programming. The membership counts about 3 million members.

Angel Studios is known for films including the hit Sound of Freedom, and its releases include Runner, Young Washington and David. Upcoming titles include Drummer Boy, Angel and the Badman and Zero A.D.: The Birth of Christ.
