Agility Robotics begins Nasdaq trading as AGLT after SPAC merger
The humanoid robot maker closed its first session at $11.51, up 2.2%, after a merger that raised $465 million before fees and valued it at $2.5 billion.
Agility Robotics completed its merger with Churchill Capital Corp. XI and began trading on Nasdaq under the ticker AGLT, according to aitimes.com. The shares closed at $11.51 on November 5, up 2.2% from the previous close.
The merger raised $465 million before fees, including a $201 million PIPE led by Foxconn, and valued the existing company at $2.5 billion.
Agility says it holds more than $300 million in multi-year orders for Digit 5, its new humanoid robot, contingent on meeting throughput, uptime and placement accuracy targets. One customer reportedly contracted to use 1,000 robots over three years; the customer was not named.
Digit 5 deliveries are planned to begin in the first half of 2027, with general sales starting later that year. Agility aims to secure 100 potential customers by the end of 2027 and says it is in sales talks with more than 30 companies.
The company plans to standardize Digit 5's onboard computing on Nvidia's IGX Thor edge AI platform and to link Nvidia's Halos robot safety platform to its safety system.
Losses continue as orders build
Agility reported revenue of $1.8 million and a net loss of $138.1 million last year, and revenue of $174,000 with a loss of $362 million in the first half of this year. In its SEC filing the company said it expects further losses and high operating expenses for a considerable period.
