Apple ships 27.2 updates with Siri AI memory and Korean support
The OS updates let Siri AI recall earlier conversations and draw on photos, calendars and Safari history; five new languages are added.
Apple released its 27.2 operating system updates on October 26, 2026, expanding Siri AI with conversation memory, broader personal context and support for five additional languages, including Korean, according to digitaltoday.co.kr.
Siri AI can now remember topics from earlier conversations and answer related follow-up questions. It can also draw on more kinds of personal information in its answers, including photos attached to messages, calendar attendees, voicemail, Safari history and the reading list.
A new Excluded Apps setting lets users decide which apps Siri, Search and Suggestions may access, and users can copy only selected sentences from a Siri AI answer. The assistant now supports French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish alongside English; Apple plans to add Traditional Chinese, Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese by the end of this year.
The updates shipped as iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS and visionOS 27.2. On the Mac, Siri AI gains conversation memory and message suggestions, while watchOS 27.2 improves the assistant's response speed on Apple Watch.
Elsewhere, Messages now proposes follow-up actions such as adding a calendar event based on the conversation, and shared albums in Photos allow captions and comments to be edited. Photos and Image Playground also support Google's SynthID watermark for identifying AI-generated or edited images.
The main new Siri AI features are supported on all iPhone 16 models and later, as well as iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Siri AI remains unavailable in mainland China and, on iOS, iPadOS and watchOS, in the EU.
