Discord to publish discoverable server messages on the web from mid-December
Server web pages will roll out from November 16, and members can opt out of having their own messages shown publicly.
Discord announced on October 27 that messages in public channels of discoverable servers will become viewable on the web starting in mid-December 2026. From November 16, every discoverable server will also get its own server web page showing its category, supported languages and an overview, according to automaton-media.com.
Members can choose whether their own messages appear on the web, and usernames and avatars will not be displayed. Users can toggle message publication from their settings, while server admins decide which channels are published.
The feature is already being tested on the NBA 2K, Rust and Dead by Daylight servers, where only messages from admins and moderators are shown so far. Discoverable servers in games such as Marvel Rivals and VALORANT, and brand servers such as Logitech G, are also covered by the rollout.
How listing works
Discord's server search page currently lists about 32,000 servers. Discoverable servers need at least 1,000 members and must meet safety and activity requirements, and admins have to opt in to being listed in web search.
Before Discord existed, forums and message boards were the mainstream way to hold detailed discussions online.
