Everyzone's WhiteDefender Linux Server wins GS Certification Grade 1

Everyzone says its Linux server anti-ransomware product is the first in South Korea to earn Grade 1 under the GS software certification.

Everyzone announced that its WhiteDefender Linux Server anti-ransomware solution has obtained GS Certification Grade 1, a designation the company says is the first of its kind for a Linux server anti-ransomware product in South Korea, according to dailysecu.com.

GS Certification assesses software quality against international standards, covering functional suitability, performance efficiency, compatibility, reliability and security.

WhiteDefender Linux Server relies on signatureless, behavior-based detection, analyzing file access, modification and encryption activity on servers in real time. When it detects such behavior, the product identifies the process responsible and blocks it.

The solution also provides allowlists and file write protection, with exception policies that can be set per process, directory and file.

Administrators can monitor protection status and manage security policies across multiple servers through the WhiteDefender Platform, a central management service.

Earlier certifications and current deployments

Everyzone had previously obtained GS Certification Grade 1 for its PC and Windows server products. The company currently supplies WhiteDefender Linux Server to public institutions, companies and the medical sector.
