FIIO unveils DT11 portable digital transport at Tokyo audio show
The DT11, FIIO's first portable digital transport, is set for a winter release alongside the December BTR19 Bluetooth headphone amp.
FIIO showed the DT11, its first portable digital transport, at the Autumn Headphone Festival 2026 held at Station Conference Tokyo on November 7, according to av.watch.impress.co.jp. The device has no DAC or headphone output and is intended for digital output to a separate DAC/amp; FIIO says it is scheduled for release this winter.
The DT11 provides one optical digital output, two transformer-isolated coaxial digital outputs and USB-C with up to 9W power supply. It uses the same FPGA and dual femtosecond crystal oscillator clock as the company's flagship M27 digital audio player.
FIIO also displayed the BTR19 wireless portable headphone amplifier, positioned as the top model of the BTR series after the BTR17 and scheduled for a December release at around 59,400 yen. The BTR19 carries two ESS ES9027PRO DAC chips and ten TI op-amp arrays for up to 1,500mW output, with PC, BT and PHONE modes, a touch display and a magnet attachment mechanism.
The company gave the DM15 portable CD player its first domestic showing; its DAC chip has changed from R2R, and it is due in November at around 47,300 yen. The TS13 tube headphone amp with built-in DAC was also on display, with release date and price undecided.
iFi audio and em among other exhibitors
iFi audio exhibited the iCAN Phantom 1.5, an evolved version of its flagship analog headphone amp with up to 15,000mW balanced output and a switchable semiconductor/GE5670 tube input stage, now with wider gain and iEMatch settings and a VU meter; release date and price are undecided. The iDSD GR2 MT portable DAC/headphone amp, a Master Tuned model of the iDSD GR 2 tuned by Grammy-winning producer Steve Levine with his custom digital filter, was shown in Japan for the first time, due this winter at around 132,000 yen. iFi audio also displayed the GO Cable USB-C earphone cable with built-in DAC (December, around 14,300 yen) and the UP Play (December, around 10,780 yen) and UP Play Max (December, around 16,500 yen) Bluetooth transmitters.
The em brand is sample-exhibiting the em NEXIEM Linear USB-C earphone, which uses xMEMS's Montara Plus full-range MEMS driver with a dedicated bias amp Aptos2 and a 384kHz/32bit DAC CX31993 in the cable, and is collecting feedback through A/B comparison listening. Products from eversolo and Luxsin audio released on November 6 were also exhibited, along with FIIO gaming headsets, a small gaming DAC and an audio interface/headphone amp.
