Student-Made FilmLog. Disposable Camera App Launches Free

The web app gives smartphone users 10 film types and 24 unretakeable shots per roll, viewable only after developing.

FilmLog., a free digital disposable camera web service for smartphones, was released on November 8, 2026, according to ascii.jp. The service was planned, designed and developed by a first-year student at an IT vocational school.

Users can shoot up to 24 photos per film roll and cannot review or retake them while shooting. The photos become viewable only after the roll is rewound and developed, recreating the constraints of a single-use film camera.

FilmLog. offers 10 original film types, including Standard 400, Vivid 100, Soft Tone 160 and Retro Warm 200. The service is completely free to use.

It runs as a PWA, so no download from the App Store or Google Play is required; users add it to their phone's home screen instead. Several icon designs are available to choose from when adding the service.
