Hugging Face team donates ZeroGPU demo for VIDRAFT's Darwin vision model
The browser demo runs on Hugging Face's free ZeroGPU service and lets users test Darwin-35B-ZTC-Vision without their own GPU, VIDRAFT said.
VIDRAFT announced on October 30 that Hugging Face's open-source team built and donated an interactive demo for its Darwin-35B-ZTC-Vision vision decision model. The demo runs on Hugging Face's free ZeroGPU service, allowing users to try the model in a web browser without their own graphics card, according to aitimes.com.
On October 27, Hugging Face open-source team member Apolinário posted on the model's public page congratulating and thanking VIDRAFT for the release. Apolinário also offered to transfer the demo to a VIDRAFT account; VIDRAFT accepted and is moving it to the FINAL-Bench organization.
Fitting the model into the demo server required separate work: the Hugging Face team developed a dedicated low-memory loader for the roughly 69 billion byte model, VIDRAFT said.
Darwin-35B-ZTC-Vision does not generate sentences. It outputs probabilities for preset answer choices, accepting up to four photos together with a question. The model uses a Mixture of Experts structure with 35 billion total parameters and about 3 billion parameters used per token, and is released under the commercial-use Apache 2.0 license.
The model had 8,940 Hugging Face downloads as of October 28. Earlier this month, VIDRAFT said it had taken first place in 15 of 53 Hugging Face-certified benchmarks; in the S1MB vision version, Darwin-35B-ZTC-Vision completed all 20 required tasks without failure, was officially listed on October 19 and scored 91.00 Borda points at submission.
Quick answers
