Naver expands outlet editing page with briefing cards and more features

The issue area of Naver News' outlet editing page will show 10 main articles instead of 6, and in-depth features will appear for all users.

Naver announced on October 30, 2026 that it will diversify curation on the outlet editing page in Naver News and expand the exposure of in-depth feature articles, according to techm.kr.

The number of main articles shown in the issue area of the outlet editing page will rise from 6 to 10. Naver is also adding editing templates for outlets, including live video, briefing and in-depth feature formats.

A new briefing card-news type is being introduced so users can quickly check key news at the start or end of the day. In-depth feature articles will be shown expanded at the bottom of the page for all users.

Issue Now growth

The outlet editing page launched in 2017 and has 28.48 million outlet subscribers, with each user subscribing to an average of 7.7 outlets. Outlets with more than 1 million subscribers account for 80% of the total.

In 2024, Naver opened Issue Now, a curation-based issue service in which outlets pick the most notable issues. As of October 2026, 66 outlets have published about 470,000 articles across 834 issues on Issue Now, and subscriptions grew about 69%, from 710,000 in January 2026 to 1.2 million in September 2026.
