Krafton launches K-pop AI character chat service Kiff
Kiff charges 3,900 won a month for unlimited chatting, with girl group FIFTY FIFTY designing its first collaboration characters.
Krafton launched Kiff, an AI character chat service built around K-pop, on November 2, 2026, according to aitimes.com. The service's first collaboration is with girl group FIFTY FIFTY, whose members designed the personas and looks of the characters users can talk to.
Kiff offers unlimited chatting for a monthly fee of 3,900 won.
Com2uS has also begun developing an AI character chat platform aimed at a female audience, starting with the hiring of content and system planners.
Who else is in the market
The AI character chat market had been led by Wrtn Technologies' Crack and Scatter Lab's Zeta. Wrtn is the main sponsor of G-STAR 2026, which runs in Busan from November 19 to 22; it is the first non-game AI company to take that role.
Kakao Games added the AI chatbot Myorong to its MMORPG to analyze play situations and guide growth direction. Netmarble said it uses AI to improve game development efficiency and has no separate character chat service in preparation, while Nexon said it has no related plans.
Globally, Character.AI reached 12 million monthly active users but recorded monthly losses of 8-9 million dollars, according to the report, and it filed for bankruptcy protection in the US last month.
