KT Tops High-Speed Internet, IPTV and Mobile in 2026 KS-QEI Survey
The Korean Standards Association survey gave KT first place in three telecom categories, extending its streak in high-speed internet to 11 straight years.
KT ranked first in three categories of the 2026 Korean Standard Quality Excellence Index (KS-QEI) survey, the company announced on October 28. The categories were high-speed internet, IPTV and mobile communications.
The survey was organized by the Korean Standards Association. According to digitaltoday.co.kr, KT has now placed first in high-speed internet for 11 consecutive years, in IPTV for 10 consecutive years and in mobile communications for 7 consecutive years.
KT attributed the ratings to stable network operations, improvements to its products and services, and efforts to enhance the customer experience.
Genie TV and network work
The IPTV category covers KT's Genie TV service. KT said it has applied AI-based content search and on-device AI technology to Genie TV, and it uses an AI-based network operating system to analyze traffic and quality data and detect anomalies early.
In mobile communications, KT said it is advancing next-generation technologies including 5G standalone (SA)-based voice calls (VoNR) and network slicing. The company also introduced an integrated LTE and 5G pricing structure and has strengthened AI-based customer support and customer protection measures such as spam and voice phishing prevention.
