LG Electronics launches stem ice-water fridge, to supply Schilling

LG Electronics announced on October 26, 2026 that it has launched the LG Dios AI Objet Collection Stem ice-water refrigerator, and that it will supply its LG Professional commercial laundry appliances to German commercial laundry company Schilling in November 2026, according to techm.kr.

The new refrigerator uses a direct-water purifier to produce ice through its "stem" function, offering ice in a range of sizes and shapes. The lower section has changed from a side-by-side layout to a drawer type, and the number of "fresh customized" compartments has increased to 2.

LG Electronics equipped the model with AI fresh care, an AI saving mode and AI voice recognition, and it can also serve as an IoT hub. It features a 6.8-inch display, the "Fit and Max" design and a "zero clearance hinge." The list price is 5.25 million won and 5.45 million won depending on color.

The company's European commercial laundry push has been underway for some time: on October 23, 2026 (local time), LG Electronics took part in the Expo Detergo International 2026 laundry trade fair in Milan, Italy, where it discussed cooperation with European B2B customers and showed commercial laundry appliances ranging from the 10 kg class to the 20 kg class.
