Newploy AI update adds document search and auto meeting minutes

Newploy said the November 5 update keeps document processing on the user's PC and runs without a high-performance GPU.

Newploy released an update to its on-device AI software Newploy AI on November 5, adding document search, question-and-answer, team sharing and automatic meeting-minutes creation to the document recognition features the software already offered, according to digitaltoday.co.kr.

The software processes and stores documents locally on the user's PC rather than sending data to external servers. Newploy AI combines small AI models assigned by role and can handle document work on a general PC CPU without a high-performance GPU.

The company plans to integrate Newploy AI with Newploy, its existing HR and payroll management product. It also intends to release industry-specific features for tax and accounting, medical, and public administration fields in stages.

Launched in August with translation support

Newploy AI was released in August 2026, recognising text, tables, layouts and formulas in PDFs and scanned documents and structuring them into data, with Korean-English translation support. About 10 new skills — small AI models per function — were added in the three months since launch.

As of October 2026, the number of paid-plan users had doubled compared with the previous month, according to the company. Newploy says it is continuing work on handwriting recognition accuracy and multilingual training.
