NEXCO Central Japan SA/PA Shops to Accept Rakuten and V Points From December 1

Rakuten Points will roll out at roughly 400 service-area and parking-area stores, with both services earning 1 point per 100 yen spent.

NEXCO Central Japan has announced that Rakuten Points and V Points will be accepted at eligible shops in its service areas (SA) and parking areas (PA) starting December 1, 2026, according to japan.cnet.com. The company said the services will be introduced sequentially rather than switched on everywhere at once.

Rakuten Points is scheduled to reach about 400 shops inside SA and PA facilities. At participating stores, customers who present a Rakuten Points card or the compatible app earn 1 point per 100 yen (tax included). V Points works the same way: presenting a mobile V card or similar earns 1 point per 100 yen (tax included). In both cases, 1 point can be used for payment as the equivalent of 1 yen.

Not every eligible shop will offer the services from December 1. The point programs available and the start dates differ by store, the company said.

Customers also cannot earn or spend points across multiple point services in a single transaction at the same time, NEXCO Central Japan added. Details of participating shops and service start dates will be posted on the company's website as they are confirmed.
