Oracle expands OCI ties with three Korean AI startups

Farmkit, SilicoFarm and Superb AI build on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure through the LLM Challenge startup program, Oracle said.

Oracle said on October 26 that it is expanding cooperation with Korean AI startups built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Three companies — Farmkit, SilicoFarm and Superb AI — are using OCI to run large-scale data processing and AI model operating environments, according to datanet.co.kr.

Farmkit runs its AI commerce recommendation platform TasteQ on OCI Compute and manages containerized services with OCI Kubernetes Engine (OKE). SilicoFarm uses OCI Compute and OCI Object Storage to run more than 400 omics screening tasks in parallel with automatic scaling.

Superb AI has applied OCI, including Oracle AI Database, OCI Compute and OCI Object Storage, to its Superb Video Analytics solution.

The three startups came to OCI through the LLM Challenge program, part of the Cho Gyeokcha (Super-gap) Startup Project organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development. The OCI-based projects were handled by Oracle PartnerNetwork members Everitus and Turtlenowledge.
