Pangram adds AI video detection and opens Image 1.0 to Chrome users
Subscribers can upload clips for an AI assessment with a heatmap; the image model scores over 99 percent detection in company testing.
Pangram has released tools for detecting AI-generated images and videos, the company said on November 4, 2026. Subscribers can upload a video and receive an assessment of whether AI was used to create or edit the clip, while Pangram Image 1.0 is now available through the company's Chrome extension after previously running as a research preview.
The video tool separates partially AI-edited clips from videos generated entirely by AI and includes a heatmap. Pangram says its video model flagged AI content with more than 98 percent accuracy in one internal test.
For still images, the company says its image model flagged more than 99 percent of AI images in testing, with a false positive rate of 0.27 percent. Pangram notes that results at resolutions below 512 x 512 carry a reduced confidence disclaimer.
The new image and video detection features are available now to Pangram subscribers, and free accounts can check a handful of images.
Delayed release
Pangram previously released a research preview of Pangram Image 1.0. The company told Pirate Wires it delayed the image model's release to test it on several iPhone 18 Pros after the model initially flagged images from those cameras as AI.
