Raycast v2.11 adds Dictate to AI command with app context

The update also brings a Contacts AI extension on Mac, a menu bar AI usage tracker and a new AI keyboard for iOS.

Raycast released version 2.11 on November 6, adding a Dictate to AI command that lets users speak a request while the app automatically supplies the AI with context from the active application, according to 9to5mac.com.

The release also includes a new Dictation AI extension, which lets users put their transcriptions to work in AI Chat and manage dictation styles. Pedro Duarte, a Raycast figure, demonstrated the Dictate to AI feature.

On Mac, a new menu bar command tracks AI usage and can be switched on through Settings → AI → Show AI Usage in Menu Bar. A Contacts AI extension on the same platform allows users to search, create, update and delete contacts from AI Chat.

Raycast Notes now supports images and unlimited notes for free users. The Mac app also received performance improvements, including faster search and lower memory usage.

Changes on iOS and Windows

Raycast for iOS gained a new keyboard with AI-powered writing tools and improved Cloud Sync. On Windows, Screen Awareness added commands for sending individual on-screen elements or entire windows to AI Chat.

Raycast first announced Screen Awareness in August, a feature that brings context from the active app or window into AI Chat.
