Samsung Electro-Mechanics to supply NVIDIA substrates from 2026

The Korean components maker and NVIDIA will also jointly invest to expand AI semiconductor substrate capacity at Sejong and Busan.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics said on October 21, 2026 that it has formed a strategic business partnership with NVIDIA, under which it will supply package substrates for chips to the AI chip company for multiple years starting in 2026, according to digitaltoday.co.kr.

The supplied items cover substrates for NVIDIA's computing chipsets and package substrates for network switches used in data centers. The two companies will also jointly invest in expanding an AI semiconductor substrate plant, with dedicated lines for NVIDIA volume added at Samsung Electro-Mechanics' Sejong and Busan sites in Korea.

NVIDIA volume of package substrates is expected to grow at an average annual rate of more than 10 percent starting this year. By 2028, NVIDIA-bound volume is expected to account for a significant portion of Samsung Electro-Mechanics' annual package substrate capacity.
