Webcash joins LG AI Research consortium for finance AI agents

Webcash will link its OPERIA database connector to LG AI Research's K-EXAONE model to build agents for corporate cash management and financial MIS.

Webcash announced on October 28, 2026 that it will join the consortium led by LG AI Research to develop and demonstrate finance-specific AI agents as part of South Korea's independent AI foundation model project, according to datanet.co.kr.

Under the plan, Webcash will connect its OPERIA product with K-EXAONE, LG AI Research's foundation model, to build AI agents for corporate cash management and for management information systems used by financial institutions.

OPERIA is an intelligent RDB connector that automatically converts natural-language questions into SQL queries and can connect with multiple large language models.

The independent AI foundation model project is a national AI initiative run by the Ministry of Science and ICT and NIPA.
