Black Angus leader Lee Seung-hwan sets ROS 2026 title as goal

Lee Seung-hwan's Black Angus, first-time Korean qualifier winners, will face four regional teams at Ragnarok Festa 2026 on 7 November for a 30,000 USD prize.

Lee Seung-hwan, team leader of Black Angus, said his side is aiming for the title at Ragnarok Stars 2026 (ROS 2026), the global esports tournament for the PC MMORPG Ragnarok Online hosted by Gravity, according to inews24.com. The interview took place in Bangkok ahead of the global finals.

Black Angus reached ROS 2026 after winning Korea's domestic qualifier for the first time. Five regional representative teams — from Korea, Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Latin America — will compete in a 7v7 format.

The global finals will be held at Ragnarok Festa 2026 on 7 November, where the winning team takes a prize pool of 30,000 USD.

Long road to the qualifier win

Lee's team finished as runner-up in the Korean qualifiers in 2024 and 2025. According to Lee, Icarus had won the Korean qualifier every year in the past.

Black Angus members have played Ragnarok Online together for six to seven years, a history that precedes the team's breakthrough on the domestic stage. The Thai representative team, Morning Star, is among the opponents waiting at the finals.
