Dynamic Region Graphics Mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Hits Nexus

A new mod automatically switches ray tracing, path tracing and upscaler profiles as players move between regions, enter interiors or fight.

A mod called Dynamic Region Graphics for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered has been released on Nexus Mods, according to wccftech.com. The mod was developed by BloodySupport and swaps ray tracing, path tracing and upscaler profiles automatically as players travel between regions, enter indoor rooms or engage in combat, removing the need to pause and change settings by hand.

The mod supports per-region profiles for Vizima, White Orchard, Kaer Morhen, Novigrad, Velen, Skellige, Toussaint and special worlds. Separate graphics profiles can be assigned to interior rooms such as taverns and castles and to open-world exploration. Dynamic Upscaling also adjusts DLSS, FSR 2 or XeSS quality when path tracing or ray tracing engages, while those settings revert to baseline during combat for smoother performance.

Setup and compatibility

The mod is configurable in-game under Options > Gameplay > Dynamic Region Graphics. It uses native REDengine annotations and does not overwrite vanilla game script files, so no script merger is needed. It is fully translated into all 18 official game languages.

CD Projekt Red introduced path tracing support for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered on PC in October 2025. Path tracing does not always look great in every location under certain lighting conditions, and it carries a high performance cost, making it frustrating to keep enabled at all times across Velen, Skellige and Toussaint.
