LemonCube Details Merge Systems for Mobile Game '다 캐야 퇴근'
The three-person Incheon studio is preparing an official service build targeting early November, with battle pass and energy-recharge monetization planned.
LemonCube, a three-person studio based in Incheon, has detailed the two merge systems at the core of its upcoming mobile game '다 캐야 퇴근' and said it is preparing an official service build targeting early November, according to game.donga.com.
The exploration merge mixes roguelite elements with cat-merging: players combine cats to break ore veins and dig deeper into a mine. The town merge, meanwhile, has players solve puzzles and fulfil requests from the cat characters, upgrading each cat's personal room and satisfaction level.
The game is currently running in soft launch form. The team said it is trimming some of the black comedy dialogue so that newcomers can enter the game more easily. Monetization is planned around a battle pass and energy recharges for merge play.
The development team comprises CEO 이택준, who handles programming; art lead 최치원, responsible for illustrations and characters; and 이소연, who works on effects, UI and presentation. Representative cat characters include 록시, an office worker, and 레조, who loves food. The studio has cited Minecraft as an influence on the mining side.
LemonCube registered as a business in November 2025 and began full-scale development this year. It was selected for the 8th 'Changgu Program' run by Google Play, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Korea Startup Promotion Agency. The project began as a top-down action game with high school girl characters, later tried a hyper-casual approach, and settled on merge gameplay with cats.
