Starfield Mod Adds Seamless Planetary Landings, PC-Only
Danish singer-songwriter Frederik Wessberg is developing the Starfield Seamless Landing mod, which reimplements planet rendering in 3D and requires SFSE.
A Danish singer-songwriter and audio engineer named Frederik Wessberg has revealed a work-in-progress Starfield mod that adds seamless planetary landings in the style of No Man's Sky and Star Citizen, according to wccftech.com. The mod is PC-only and requires SFSE.
Wessberg said he has worked on the project for about six months. He is not a professional coder. The mod reimplements Starfield's planet rendering in space in 3D to support seamless landings.
Landings can be autopiloted or flown manually, including landing on water. The landing phase includes volumetric clouds, thunderstorms, auroras and atmospheric scattering based on the game's data.
No release date has been announced for the Starfield Seamless Landing mod.
