Gyeongnam welfare AI platform opens after pilot
Saltlux and Daiquest said the platform uses the in-house Lucia 32B model and links services such as Bokjiro and Employment24.
Saltlux and its subsidiary Daiquest announced that the Gyeongnam Integrated Welfare Platform, built jointly by the two companies, was officially opened on October 15, 2026, following a pilot period, according to digitaltoday.co.kr.
The platform is an AI-based service that consolidates welfare information scattered across multiple institutions and guides residents to customized welfare programs and application methods. The project was carried out by a consortium of Saltlux, Daiquest and iWorks.
Saltlux built a welfare-specific AI counseling system using its in-house large language model Lucia 32B. Daiquest set up a system to manage and search welfare data from Gyeongnam Province and its 18 cities and counties in an integrated way. About 5,600 welfare programs, related laws and work manuals were used as training and search data.
During a five-month pilot, answer accuracy and dialect recognition were improved, and 381 errors and suggestions were incorporated. The platform also offers dialect voice counseling, a mock calculation of eligibility requirements, nearby welfare facility search and online applications, and links with external services such as Bokjiro and Employment24.
A separate AI work environment for public officials was also built, with the resident portal and the administrative network for officials physically separated. According to Gyeongnam Province, this is the first case of a metropolitan-level local government providing an integrated service combining AI with the welfare field.
