KAYTUS Launches On-Site AI Hardware Support Service

The OEM AI Managed Service stocks spare parts at customer data centers and targets repairs within four hours when parts are on-site.

KAYTUS has launched a hardware maintenance and technical support offering called OEM AI Managed Service, aimed at AI data centers and hyperscale computing clusters. The service places key spare parts on-site at customer facilities and provides OEM-level diagnostics and repair by certified engineers.

KAYTUS said on-site support can shorten hardware recovery time by more than 30% compared with typical industry service levels. When key parts are stocked on-site, repairs can be completed within four hours, and the company cites an average handling time of 12 hours per failed node.

On-site technical support is offered 24/7 depending on service tier, with dedicated Tier 2 experts for complex issues. The service also includes AI-based failure prediction and preventive inspections, and it integrates with KAYTUS's KSManage intelligent operations and management platform.

KAYTUS reported one global cloud service provider customer with more than 100 racks and thousands of AI accelerators that cut average handling time per failed node from 48 hours to 12 hours. According to KAYTUS, that customer's actual compute uptime rose 50% and potential SLA compensation liability fell by millions of dollars.

The service is available in European countries including the UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Finland, Poland and Iceland, as well as in Asia-Pacific markets including Japan and Korea. KAYTUS said it plans to strengthen on-site data center maintenance in Korea as AI infrastructure investment and GPU cloud services expand.

Na Han-dol, technical director of KAYTUS Korea's enterprise business, said the service promises measurable service levels so customers do not simply wait for hardware recovery.

Hardware failures at scale

KAYTUS cited a Gartner forecast that global AI spending in 2026 will reach $2.67 trillion, with about $1.48 trillion going to AI infrastructure. The company also pointed to Meta's published Llama 3.1 405B technical report, which said a cluster of 16,384 GPUs suffered 419 unexpected interruptions during 54 days of pre-training, with about 78% caused by or suspected to be hardware failures. Uptime Institute's 2026 outage analysis found 57% of respondents said their most recent significant outage cost more than $100,000, and one in five reported losses above $1 million.
