KPR Debuts Robot Artist Group CHICHI & KIKI With First Album
The act released 'VERSION 1.0: HELLO, WORLD!' and a music video, and KPR plans to publish performance data covering 50 robot motions.
KPR and its subsidiary Brightbell Creative Group unveiled the robot artist group CHICHI & KIKI on October 29, 2026, alongside the group's first album, "VERSION 1.0: HELLO, WORLD!", according to datanet.co.kr. The album was released on music streaming sites the same day, and a music video went out on the group's official Instagram and YouTube channels.
The lineup pairs humanoid CHICHI with quadruped performer KIKI, while dual-arm robot LOG appears as a guest drummer.
KPR said it will publicly release performance data covering 50 robot motions and the three songs from the first album. The data will be published through the official website and the global developer platform GitHub.
Brightbell, the DX company that handled development and production, built four in-house software tools for the project: an instrument performance studio, a choreography design studio for the quadruped robot, an integrated simulation studio and an integrated controller.
From hackathon to task force
The project began at a KPR internal hackathon in January 2026, and a formal task force was formed in April to work on robot control, motion development, music and choreography, and character and world-building.
