LegalOn Technologies launches beta of Agent Builder for legal AI platform

The no-code tool automates case assignment and initial responses when a new case is created or its status or assignee changes.

LegalOn Technologies, Inc. announced on October 19 that it has begun offering a beta version of its Agent Builder task automation feature on its legal AI platform LegalOn. The company said the feature lets AI automatically carry out a series of routine legal tasks based on configured conditions.

In its first phase, the Agent Builder can automatically handle case assignment and initial responses when a new case is created or when a case's status or assignee changes. According to ascii.jp, no programming knowledge is required, and settings matching a company's own rules can be made in as few as five clicks.

The beta includes standard workflows supervised by a team of lawyers, along with security features that limit the AI's access permissions and scope of operations.

LegalOn Technologies said it plans further expansions, including automatic first-pass review of contracts.

Earlier survey

In March 2026, the company published a survey on AI agent use in legal work. More than 80% of legal users with AI agent experience said they wanted to expand the scope of tasks delegated to AI.
