Microsoft Investigating Classic Outlook Help Pane Failures

Affected users see an error saying the add-in scenario is not supported in the folder; restarting Outlook is a temporary workaround.

Microsoft said on its support page that it is investigating a problem in classic Outlook for Windows that prevents help and support features from opening for some users, according to forest.watch.impress.co.jp.

The affected commands include Help, Contact Support, Show Training and What's New. For some users, the commands fail to launch, leaving them without access to the built-in support options.

Some affected users see the message "You cannot perform this action. This add-in scenario is not supported in this folder."

Restarting classic Outlook is a workaround, but the issue may return after the Help pane is closed.

Microsoft has not given a timeline for a permanent fix. The company said it is investigating the problem.
