Rhythm ships MAGSPEAKER DUO Theater Set bundle on October 28

Rhythm released the MAGSPEAKER DUO Theater Set, a bundle of its MAGSPEAKER DUO waterproof portable theater speaker and a MAGCASE waterproof case, in limited quantities on October 28, according to kaden.watch.impress.co.jp. The set is offered in two versions, one with the MAGCASE S for smartphones and one with the MAGCASE T for tablets.

The expected market price is 17,800 yen for the smartphone set and 18,800 yen for the tablet set. Magnets on the bottom of the speaker and on the back of the case allow both to be attached directly to bathroom walls.

Speaker and case specifications

The speaker consists of two independent wireless speakers and supports stereo playback. It uses a 50mm full-range driver and a passive radiator, and carries IP67 dust and water resistance. The included charging stand has IPX5-equivalent water resistance and charges the speaker by magnetic attachment.

A full charge allows up to 20.5 hours of continuous playback, and charging takes about 2.5 hours. The speaker measures 210 x 75 x 130 mm and weighs about 750 g, with Bluetooth 5.3, SBC codec support and 5 W output per speaker.

The MAGCASE S measures 223 x 32 x 143 mm and weighs about 310 g, while the MAGCASE T measures 322 x 32 x 237 mm and weighs about 600 g. Both cases have IPX7-equivalent water resistance. The smartphone case fits devices up to 170 mm in height, 90 mm in width and 7-11 mm in thickness; the tablet case fits devices up to 180 mm in height, 265 mm in width and 5.8-11 mm in thickness.
