Jet Studio Editor Builds 2D and 3D Games for Microcontrollers
The open-source Godot-based tool targets the Arduino Nano ESP32 and STM32F746, with a 2D shooter demo hitting 62 FPS on the Nano ESP32.
Developer Fedyfausto has released Jet Studio, an open-source game editor for building 2D and 3D games that run on the Arduino Nano ESP32 and the STM32F746 microcontroller, according to Hackaday.
The editor is built as a Godot app with a C++ GDExtension, and is intended for use with the ILI9341 SPI LCD display.
A 2D shooter demo runs at 62 FPS on the Nano ESP32 and 83 FPS on the STM32, the project reports. Other demos include a partially-3D Outrun-style game and a 3D physics simulation.
Jet Studio is open source and built on Godot, the open-source game engine.
