LocHatch launches beta vote service for game Japanese localizations
Players can search titles and cast votes specifying text, voice or both kinds of Japanese support, which LocHatch forwards to publishers.
LocHatch released the beta version of a service that collects votes from users who want games localized into Japanese and delivers those requests to developers and publishers, the company announced on October 21, 2026. The service runs in PC and smartphone browsers, according to 4gamer.net.
Users can search for games by name, browse a ranking of titles requested for Japanese localization and view event features. A vote can specify text support, voice support or both, and voters can leave comments for the creators.
LocHatch says it will pass the collected votes and comments on to developers and publishers. The company's representative director has about 30 years of experience in game localization at major game companies and major localization companies.
The company also plans advance reservation campaigns for Japanese versions of titles it agrees on with developers and publishers. Money collected through reservations will go toward localization costs — translation, voice recording and quality checks — as well as marketing costs for release in Japan.
LocHatch said it intends to enable voting and advance reservations for titles in 31 languages and to add community features.
