AT&T's Connected Life adds Gemini-powered camera summaries

The integration requires AT&T's Connected Life monitoring plan at $29.99 per month and uses Google's Gemini-powered Home APIs.

AT&T's Connected Life home security system now integrates with Gemini for Home, adding Gemini-powered descriptions of camera events, natural-language video search and daily activity summaries, according to The Verge. AT&T says Connected Life is the first home security product to integrate with Google Home Premium.

With the integration, Gemini for Home can describe what security cameras captured, such as who delivered a package and how many items they dropped off. Users can also search recorded footage by asking questions in natural language, and receive daily summaries of activity inside and outside the home.

The Gemini features require AT&T's Connected Life monitoring plan, priced at $29.99 per month. The integration runs on Google's Gemini-powered Home APIs.

AT&T is also adding automatic arming or disarming of the home based on the user's proximity to it.

Earlier launch

AT&T launched Connected Life in December 2025 in partnership with Google and Abode. Separately, ADT has hinted at bringing Gemini for Home features into its security systems.
