Krafton launches K-pop AI chat service Kip in South Korea

Kip lets fans chat with artist-designed K-pop characters such as FIFTY FIFTY's Weni; unlimited chatting costs 3,900 won per month.

Krafton launched Kip, an AI character chat service built around K-pop themes, in South Korea on November 2, 2026, according to digitaltoday.co.kr. The service lets users hold conversations with characters designed by artists.

Kip's characters remember user preferences and earlier conversations, and can open conversations or share news about the artists behind them. The app also includes a picture-diary feature that turns the day's chats into a visual record.

Two modes are offered: a text chat mode and a character mode in which the on-screen character reacts with motions such as waving. The first participating artist is the girl group FIFTY FIFTY under Attrakt, represented by its official character Weni.

Kip is available in Korean for users aged 14 and older on iOS and Android. Some conversations are free, while a subscription priced at 3,900 won per month allows unlimited chatting.

More artists planned

Krafton said it plans to add artists and features and to expand the service to more countries. Before the launch, a video showing FIFTY FIFTY members at Krafton creating Weni ran on the group's official YouTube channel, with the first episode posted on October 24, 2026 and the second on November 2, 2026.
