TANGLE's Naviu AR sightseeing app launches November 1

Naviu offers an AI guide in 29 languages, semi-transparent AR route overlays and itinerary planning for iOS and Android.

TANGLE will launch Naviu, its AI-powered AR sightseeing navigation app, for iOS and Android on November 1, 2026, the company announced. According to ascii.jp, the app is positioned as a guide for visitors navigating Tokyo on foot.

Naviu answers questions about the user's current location in 29 languages through an AI guide. It also overlays semi-transparent AR route guidance on the real streetscape, so directions appear directly over the road ahead.

Users can point the camera at temples, signs and shops to ask questions on the spot. The app additionally generates itineraries based on dietary restrictions, interests, accessibility needs and length of stay.

Spatial content network for partners

Naviu includes a spatial content network that lets companies, municipalities and creators place 3D and AR content at real-world locations. AR experiences are being offered at sites including Senso-ji, Tokyo Skytree, Tokyo Tower, Meiji Jingu and Tokyo Station.

Jack Mead, CEO of Ashita Co and Naviu business lead, is named in the project. TANGLE is developing and operating the app.
