Baemin rolls out AI conversational search in app

Woowa Brothers detailed the build and safety checks at WoowaCon 2026, saying human-AI evaluation agreement rose to roughly 90% for safety.

Baemin, the food delivery service operated by Woowa Brothers, is rolling out an AI-powered conversational search feature in its app, the company said at WoowaCon 2026 on October 28, according to techm.kr. The service lets customers describe vague or complex needs in natural language, such as asking what to eat on a rainy day or requesting restaurants selling menus below a certain price.

Woowa Brothers separated roles so that AI interprets intent and drafts responses while existing systems execute the functions and handle the search results. The company divided AI search evaluation standards into safety and quality.

Answers that could harm customers, such as recommending non-existent stores or mislabeling allergen-containing food as safe, are automatically failed on a single occurrence. Agreement between tools and human judges initially stood at 44.6% and later rose to roughly 90% for safety and roughly 96% for quality, the company said.

The Baemin AI search service is already being used by customers. Woowa Brothers plans to keep improving the service based on problems found during real customer use.
